Nora C. Halfbrodt
My name is Nora and I was part of the full-time MGS class of 2016-2017. My favourite part of the course was the exhibition project, since it was the first time I had to deal with objects that have unknown provenances. In summer 2017, I moved back to Wuerzburg (Germany) and started to work for the university’s administration as well as a lecturer for the local museum studies courses. Furthermore, I decided to enrol for a PhD course, specialising on exhibiting objects with difficult provenances. In May 2019 I got a new job as a provenance researcher in the university’s art collection in order to identify objects that were looted between 1933 and 1945. Writing a PhD dissertation is quite a big task but I do enjoy it and can use quite a few of the skills and knowledge I gained in St Andrews.
